Kitchen update

The kitchen now looks like this:
The picture is a little dark, but it gives the general impression that... WE ACTUALLY MAY HAVE A KITCHEN SOMEDAY SOON!!! This picture faces the south wall of the kitchen, where the stove will be, and the sink will be on the right wall. The nifty octagon window will hopefully be installed soon, but it is currently residing on the kitchen floor.

In order to get this far, the sanding of the walls was completed on Saturday evening. We primed with the neighborhood kids on Sunday afternoon, coated the celeing and installed the center light. Of course this all happened in 95++ heat and high humidity. Fun fun. Tonight we coated the walls with pretty yellow paint...

Wednesday and Thursday we get our new vinyl flooring installed. Our kitchen cabinets have been ordered, and will be delivered before the end of the month. We selected some from Ikea - the Lindigo pattern. After we ordered them, the two other neighbors that have been wanting to revamp their kitchens fessed up to their dream Ikea pattern. It's good to know I'm not alone in my obcession. :)
