To Your Health!
Man! It is COLD outside! It went from being 43F yesterday to bussing home at an air temp of -5F!!! Luckily, I had the pleasure of being distracted by a wonderful series of podcasts (audio for my iPod, for those less technically inclined) that was from an APTA conference in June 2007. This series was related to the importance of physical activity, and what kinds are most effective in all different age and medical populations. The one the struck me the most was one by Steven Tepper on the impact of cardiovascular activity on prevention and management of disease. His data blew me away. The take home message...
EVERYONE.
YES, YOU.
WALK 30 MINUTES AS BRISKLY AS YOU CAN EVERY DAY.
YOUR BODY WILL THANK YOU.
Hear it for yourself: Click on either the audio or view for Part V.
Isn't science grand? :-)
