Random updates

Hello again!

Life has taken quite a hold of my life... and so I haven't had a chance to update things to those that care to read about our rambling lives. So, here's some updates:

John had verbal confirmation of a job, then was told he would be pink slipped for Fall 2007. He then did the responsible thing and sent out resumes to other schools in Anoka ISD #11... an interview was set up at another school, John's current principal got word of it, set up an inpromptu interview for an "Open Classroom Position," and John got it. So he now has confirmation that he will have his own classroom next year! Hurray!!!!

We got a large shipment from Vintage Woodworks about a week ago... it holds the trim for the kitchen and bathroom. Guess what my project is this weekend while John is out with the guys watching baseball? (In all fairness, I was invited to join, but I'd rather deal with trim.) I'll post pictures when I have them. :-)

I am a Minnesota Public Radio junkie... here's the link to a new radio program about family dynamics from a child and parent position. Very entertaining and enlightening! So, How's the Family?

My little sister, Megan, did her Senior project presentation last Thursday. She's been making a documentary (which she now needs to finish!), and she showed a preview of it at the presentation. It makes me feel old to think that she's going to be graduating from high school in a month. What happened to "Cookie Monster" from when I was her age?

Jeff was home for a while this last week, and we got to "hang" for a while. The big news: he's moving back to the Cities at the end of the summer! Wahoo!!!

In my world, life is going great at the new rotation location of Acute Rehab. As I told my supervisor a couple of days ago... you don't realize how much you miss what you love until you aren't doing it (referring to my time on the acute care side of things... pulling people out of bed after surgery or major illness). I love having long relationships with patients, watching them grow and become more independent with your intervention, problem solving difficult situations.... it's all my cup of tea! Now if I can only convince everyone else to be happy with their spot and we stop rotating....

Off to the Farmer's Market!
