Yea Spring!

All sorts of craziness has been happening at our household. We moved our more sitting room to the front of the house (the "poker table green" room), and the office/library to near our bedroom. The use of space is much better now, but still not perfect.

Our neighbors started popping out of their homes again - in a few months those kids really can grow! We all enjoyed the 60 degree weather and raked out our gardens, and made big landscaping plans. A backhoe or similar may be rented this summer to complete various neighborhood jobs. I'll keep you posted!

We had an energy audit, and we appalled by the amount of air leaking out of our house. And so today we have a company blowing in more insullation and repairing a giant hole that we unknowingly had in the upstairs furnace room that was sucking hot air from our living space to the attic. Hopefully our heating bills will be a little bit better starting in the fall.

Here's our neighborhood official sign of spring:

The ceremonial burning of our Christmas tree! Last year we weren't prepared with a hose, and it was a bit windier. This year, it didn't seem too likely that we'd burn down the neighbor's garage! Hurray!

Of course, it's predicted to snow this weekend. *sigh*
